Explorations In Engineering

This class is for FIRST TIME STUDENTS. Explorations in Engineering is a quick 4-week class where students learn about the Engineering career opportunities at Wheeling High School. They also focus on two hands-on projects using CAD software, Laser Cutters, and 3D Printers. Click the button for scheduling information and registration.

Green Architecture

This course is offered from the end of October - December on Thursdays. Students must have previously taken Explorations in Engineering to enroll. Green Architecture focuses on building structures, using hands-on tools to make models, and explores sustainable construction & design. Click the button for scheduling information and registration. Robotic Systems

This course is offered in the Spring. Students must have taken Explorations in Engineering to apply for this course. Robotic Systems focuses on design, engineering, and building of industrial robot systems. Students will explore the careers and opportunities around robotics by participating in hands-on design challenges. Click the button for scheduling information and registration.

Manufacturing Engineering

This course is offered in late Spring. Students must have taken Explorations in Engineering to apply for this course. Manufacturing Engineering takes students into the world of manufacturing and engineering careers. Students will use a wide variety of industrial machining equipment to complete projects and design challenges. This may include CNC Milling, Plasma Cutting, Welding, and Laser Cutting.
